April 15, 2019 Registration for the Academic Archer program concluded for the 2018/2019 school year on April 1st with an all-time high of 31,251 students enrolled into the program. Educators from 47 US states, and three Canadian Provinces implemented the NASP® Academic Archer Program with their students.
Mark Pezzoni, President of Easton Archery said, “Archery as a competitive sport + NASP® mentors + Academic achievement as a qualifier = More kids participating in archery, getting good grades, having fun, and winning cool prizes. It all seems to add up! I have often heard people debating various ways to try and grow the sport of archery, improve education, and offer thoughts about how to keep kids on track. NASP seems to have a proven formula with the Academic Archer program! My hat is off to the NASP® support team and mentors. Congratulations to all of the recent prize winners.”
Roy Grimes, President of NASP® said, “NASP®️ is a nonprofit youth educational effort. We are grateful for sponsors who make it possible for our participants to demonstrate that archery lessons and academic success go hand in hand.”
Following the close of registration for Academic Archer, NASP® conducted a random computerized drawing from among all registered students and selected ten student names. Each of these young people won a new Genesis Bow of their choice and custom Easton Academic Archer Arrows! NASP® would like to thank a generous sponsor who purchased the bows, and of course, Easton Archery for donating the arrows.
