Anna C., June –
A positive experience that stood out to me this archery season was my trip to Nationals in Sandy, Utah. Over all it was a very good experience! I went to Utah with my dad, and the trip took us about 17 hours to drive there. I had never been to Utah, so I enjoyed the trip there because of the different scenery, and I also enjoyed spending time with my dad (and coach).
When we got there we immediately saw mountains, which we’re not used to seeing, so that was cool to see. I competed in three different tournaments while we were there. On Thursday, I shot the Center Shot 3D, Friday I shot the Center Shot bullseye, and then Saturday I shot NASP® Bullseye. When we started shooting, I was a little nervous because it was a new environment and I was with a lot of new people. I didn’t shoot as well as I wanted to, and had a bow malfunction that threw me off, but those things happen sometimes! Although I was a little disappointed with my scores, I am proud of all of the hard work I put in to get there. I’m happy I had the opportunity to go, and it was definitely an experience I’ll never forget!
