The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®) is always looking for ways to celebrate our students, and this year NASP® organized a student t-shirt design contest to show off their artistic abilities. Current NASP® students were asked to create a design for the National and Open Championship tournament t-shirts.
Over 120 creative designs were entered from 25 states. Entrants included archers from 4th-12th grade using digital artwork, paintings, and drawings. This year there were no limitations or themes to what archers could create. Our archers turned in some amazing work! Many designs incorporated bows, arrows, and targets, while others thought outside the box with mascots, comics and what NASP® means to them.
It was a difficult decision, and the top 2 designs were selected by a panel of NASP® team members. The first-place design will be featured on the 2023 Eastern and Western Nationals T-shirt, and the second-place design will be featured on the 2023 Open Championship T-shirt. Both first and second place winners will win a standard color Genesis bow of their choice and be featured as winners on our NASP® website.
We would like to thank all student archers that entered, and for the parents and coaches that helped their students with the submission process. We look forward to conducting the t-shirt design contest again next year and seeing what our archers create! Look for updates on the 2024 t-shirt design contest coming next September!
