– Nadine Davis – In all my years shooting archery, I would have never guessed that I would get this involved. The reason why I got so involved in archery is because of my coach. He has pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to enhance my leadership skills. Since the archery season is coming to an end, I would like to share all the advice my coaches have given me throughout the season.
The first piece of advice is, when you are having an off day, remember that you can always improve on the next arrow. They told me to stay focused, and to not get frustrated with myself.
The next piece of advice is to just have a great time. Archery is supposed to be fun. It’s not supposed to make you super serious. It’s a time where you can let go and laugh.
Another piece of advice they told me is to believe in yourself. Having confidence will help you achieve what you thought you couldn’t. It will allow you to shoot better at archery, but it will also help you be super successful in life.
Finally, the last piece of advice is when you are on the line clear the mind. When you are shooting bow, just let everything go. Archery is supposed to be your safe space. It is where you can be you, where you can laugh, smile, and dance. Archery is the time where you are going to make great memories!
I hope that this advice and help you like it helped me throughout my archery season. Just remember archery is about having fun and letting loose. It’s your safe space! With this, I hope that everyone had a great archery season and hopefully made some of the best memories of their entire life!
