Academic Archer, the NASP® effort that recognizes students for their academic excellence, is now in its fourth year. Enrollment is currently at 19,798 students at which is ahead of last year’s record pace! Last year,
this program recognized 25,266 students from forty-one states and several Canadian provinces for academic excellence and achievement. These are amazing results, but not unbeknownst to the National Archery in the
School’s Program. NASP® has a long-running reputation for not only enhancing student confidence but also boosting academic performance as well.
A recent student survey revealed that forty percent of students who are involved with NASP® say that the archery program, in and out, of the classroom, has been a major motivating factor to work harder in school.
NASP® hopes more educators, all over the NASP® world, will enroll eligible students in the AA program. It is NASP®’s intention to increasingly send the strongest of messages about how teaching archery as part of the in school
the curriculum can be important to the mission of educators.
We are confident that the AA enrollment will continue to rise over the coming years. For more information on AA, please visit www.naspschools.org. The deadline for AA nominations is April 1, 2019.
